CYRUS TO LAND HER OWN TEEN TALK SHOW?

MILEY CYRUS is reportedly in discussions to launch her own teen talk show. The Hannah Montana star met model-turned-TV presenter Tyra Banks during a trip to Nashville, Tennessee in May (08), and the pair is planning to produce a younger version of Banks' own show. A source tells Star magazine, "Tyra wants to produce a show for Miley. "Miley already has a huge following among teen girls, so her show would likely be successful. Tyra sees Miley's potential."

Model-turned-TV chatshow host TYRA BANKS dedicated her Daytime Emmy Award to talk show "Queen" OPRAH WINFREY - hailing the TV powerhouse as her "inspiration". Banks scooped the gong for Outstanding Talk Show in the Informative category, beating off stiff competition from A Place Of Our Own and Winfrey's protege Dr. Phil. And when she was presented with her award, Banks was full of praise for the veteran presenter. She says, "I want to thank Oprah Winfrey for her inspiration. She is the queen. She will always be the queen."

JOAN RIVERS BOOTED OFF TALK SHOW FOR CURSING!

Joan Rivers was thrown off a live TV show after branding Russell Crowe a "f***ing s**t" yesterday (17.06.08). The 75-year-old comedienne was a guest on Britain's 'Loose Women' when she lashed out at the Oscar-winning actor. Joan - who preceded the remark with "get ready to bleep this" - was asked to leave during the commercial break. When the show returned from the adverts, host Jackie Brambles apologised to viewers, saying: "Apologies for the offensive language. Unfortunately Joan has had to leave us." Joan later claimed she hadn't realised the program was live and unable to bleep out her comments.

She said: "Yes, I swore, and I'm so f***ing sorry. No one told me the TV show 'Loose Women' was a reality show and that I would be voted off. It's funny - offstage, I hardly ever use profanity. My favourite four-letter word is shop. "In England you can't swear on TV before 9pm. Like it's my fault - I'm still on New York time. The whole incident reminded me of my wedding night because I was to asked to leave in the middle."

ROSIE O'DONNELL WILL WAIT FOR MARRIAGE!

Lesbian actress ROSIE O'DONNELL will wait until same-sex marriages are legalised throughout the U.S. before she weds her partner. O'Donnell and her longtime partner, Kelli Carpenter, married four years ago when the mayor of San Francisco allowed same-sex marriages. But the California Supreme Court later declared the marriage invalid.

Last month (May08), California state authorities lifted the ban on same-sex marriage, but O'Donnell is reluctant to walk up the aisle.
She says, "(We're) going to wait until it's legal everywhere, because otherwise, I said to Kelli, we'll be going around touring the country on the marriage tour every state by state. "Once it gets to be at the federal level, once every state recognises the marriages of every other state, I think that'll be the time we would do it."

'ALBA'S EXPECTING A GIRL' - ELLEN PREDICTS

JESSICA ALBA is expecting a baby girl, according to talk show host ELLEN DeGENERES' mystic prediction.The eight months pregnant actress has found out the sex of her unborn baby, but is refusing to reveal it to the world - even after DeGeneres grilled her on her talk show on Friday (9May08).

So DeGeneres held a wedding ring tied to some string over Alba's palm, following a traditional method of predicting the sex of babies. When the ring moved in a circular motion, the comedienne announced to an unflinching Alba, "It's going in a circle, which means it's a girl. And her name shall be Ellen if you haven't picked one out already."
