Four Nigerian Journalists in final list for CNN Journalists Award.

It's nice to be a Nigerian Journalist in times like these! Four Nigerian journalists have been named among 23 finalists in the prestigious CNN Multichoice African Journalist 2008 competition. They are Lucas Ajanaku, Tell Magazine; Deji Badmus, Channels Television; Emmanuel Mayah, The Sun Newspaper, and Godwin Nnanna, BusinessDay. If anyone won, it will be the one I highlighted. Tell is like TIME magazine. We have limited or no press freedom and I happen to be one of the lucky ones.

After 24 years in the U.S, I returned to Nigeria for two years to work as a Journalist at Radio Nigeria and MTV Base before I bolted to Canada after the violent elections of 2007.
