why and how in some samsung mobile phones changing text message tone is not possible?

I have a Samsung Mobile Phone and changing text message tone with something different from standart tunes (only 4 choices) is not seems possible. But i wonder why it is so; is it something really hard to do? Or why they are not changing firmwares or let us do that without loose of the warranty?

Samsung phones do not have this option.
